At University at the autumn

Today was the last day to sign in as a student in Helsinki university at the autumn to study special education (for us who had passed the test ofcourse) and I decided to start the studies. It will be long days first the day at work and the evenings studying...but I think it will be worth it. Special education is very interesting and working in kindergarten nowadays is very much with multiple problems to deal with. I am quite excited about it.

J'ai perdu mon blog, mais merci Martine tu a m'aidée de la trouver..I had lost my blog but thanks to Martine I found it again! I lost this blog at january when we bought a new computer and I forgot to take all the adresses up...
Well that is just a reason for this year why I haven't been writing here anything...but after september to january there is only a reason of lazyness I'm afraid. And maybe I just had too much to do with my kantele lessons and studies of special education, which were so interesting that I went to an exam to get back to university...

It is funny how last winter, that was very snowy, turned quicly to very long and quite cold and rainy spring and just in few days of may, when to sun came out and the degrees got from 0 to 25, seems that only in two or three days all the nature got green and it feels like summer! That was a miracle! I hope this warmth will last for many months!

Long time no see... After quite warm september it turned to very cold october and the ground is white at mornings. Trees have still colourful leaves, beautiful season this autumn is.
Well much to do nowadays. My new hobbies take quite a lot of time. Tuesdays I play Kantele, we started with five strings and after one lesson with ten strings!! Actually the sound is better, you can play much more with more strings, but it is just a little bit more difficult.. Ofcourse I have to practise also at some other evenings...And I'm also studying special education in the open university of Jyväskylä. I have passed my first exam!! It is very interesting. I also visited a place were blind people or people who have any problems with their sight and their families can join courses to learn how to manage from their daily challenges. After the visit I had to make a raport and now I should visit one more place... Now I will write few postcard for postcrossers.

I visited in Kivinokka in earth art exhibition. Some of those works were very nice and beautiful and skillfully made. Actually I liked most of those art works this year. The exhibition has been in Kivinokka every summer for several years now. If you want to see pictures of earlier years, see http://www.sunpoint.net/~kivinokka/ .What I thought was that why it is called arts when you drag a toilet down to a forests? Or when you take quite much of rubbish and put it together with wire? Is it really art? I think that art should cause pleasure to people. Maybe the artists sometimes want to make people think with their works, maybe that is why they drag those toilets out to the woods.

So much nice things to do! I will start two new hobbies. If there will be enough people in a kantele-group I'll start playing kantele every tuesday evening. I will also start studying more in an open university. Looking forward those groups to start in september!!

We returned from our "week in a forest" holliday at sunday. The cottage was bigger than I thought and there was little electricity for two lamps because of the little solar panel on the wall outside. But the refridgerator and the stove were functioning with gas. On the little lake there were nice little sauna with a quite big room with a fireplace. So we warmed the sauna (with wood) every evening and swimmed in a lake were the water was quite warm. There was also a rowing boat to use and boys were rowing and fishing on a lake every day. I was thrilled because there were so much blueberries so I spend some time picking them and at home we have now been eating plenty of blueberrypie. Living in there was very simple, like in the old days. We had to carry all the water from the lake and the water for cooking and drinking was brought from the owner of that cottage. He lived in a house nearby (1 km). It was a nice and peacefull week and it was good that the groceriestrore was only 5 km away (at home we are used to 500 metres...). Home sweet home after all travelling in different kind of places on our vacation.

It has been quite a nice summerweather this week here in Helsinki. After Bulgaria it stil feels quite cold ( never should visit warmer countries at summertime...) but actually sun has been shining and it has been over 20 degrees...Because of the raining a lot its very green and beautiful. Speaking of beautiful I had to go and see the flowerlabyrinth at the railwaystation- see this site: http://www.mtv3.fi/uutiset/kulttuuri.shtml/arkistot/kulttuuri/2009/07/914236
At friday everyone who wants can go and pick one for oneself starting at eight o'clock. In my culture week I also visited at ateneum to see the exhibition of Kalevala that was nicely build exhibition and beautiful paintings.I liked more older paintings but there were also some new and modern works some of them were too violent for me.
Next week we will spend in a little cottage in Kisko, about 100km from Helsinki. I hope the weather will stil be good because the cottage is really small. Maybe we will swim a lot and I hope we will find some berries in the forest. Well a week without internet can be difficult...just if it doesn't rain I quess we will find out something else to do.
